Some things stay the same....

Ok, so I said I would blog once a month - wrong; I said change was going to happen - (sorta) wrong, but I do believe that things are better. Some things get better... The mission trip to New Orleans in June was amazing. So many great connections were made. Relationships got closer, broken relationships were repaired, new relationships were made and lots of hard work by all to help families recover their homes. I made a connection with 5 special students that I hope will continue to grow, improve and expand. We will see where the Lord takes this little group, all trying to follow him as they move along in this process we call life (they call high school). We will face challenges together, enjoy accountability with each other and grow closer - to each other and to Him!

Next up is HS Houseboat trip, looking forward to some fun times and some growing times.

Change......

I decided to make a change. I posted about it on Facebook, but didn't share what it was. I didn't share what it was with many and just waited to see if anyone would notice, if anyone would make a comment. If I was honest I have been making small changes for a while, but making them stick is a struggle. But this change was noticeable, I made it on Saturday and I saw several people over the next several days, but no one noticed or commented until this morning. Some co-workers and a few of the preschoolers that I work with noticed and everything was positive. What a difference those few comments made in my day. Will you notice, will I continue to make changes for the better. I know that I will because that is the theme that I will be living by this year. I will also try and post atleast once a month, which is a definite change from my posts in the past. Night.......

Halfway through my week alone

I have just returned home from a great visit with my Best Friend Forever Diana. I was able to help her celebrate her birthday and finally meet her lovely husband who was in on the surprise. The visit was totally worth the look on her face when I walked in her front door since she didn't know that I was coming. It was a LONG 8 1/2 hour drive to Merrill, OR and another LONG 8 1/2 hour drive to return home. But well worth the time that I was able to spend with Diana and Brian. 2 more days and then I pick up the kids from camp and Dale returns from the mission trip to New Orleans. So off I go......

busyness

Such a busy time with kids in many sports.  Soccer, basketball x 2, floor hockey, baseball starting soon.  2 working parents that see each other as we pass in the doorway.  I need to try and be better at this blogging thing.  Hopefully soon.

Another Gloomy not quite Rainy Day

As I sit watching this beautiful view, I wonder what will the rest of the day bring.  Not Sunshine?  The clouds roll by, the water ripples, barely a tree moves with the quietness of the wind.

Always on the edge of something.

I don't really know what I am doing but here goes.  Like it says life on the edge.

The first one is in college the next one is on the brink of middle school and the last one is not far behind.  I will continue this later, I think that it is time for bed.
